It is God’s burden for man to be a conduit for the realities of the unseen realm––the heavens. From God’s perspective, His work in the redemptive process is the recovery of His fallen image in man. There is a spectacular element to the Holy Spirit that cannot be denied. Many of us often deny the personal and renewing aspect of the same Holy Spirit. We fixate less on His work within us and more on His manifestations about us. God desires to work within us to such an extent that with one voice in the Holy Spirit, we cry out, “Come Lord Jesus.” Jesus cannot come from our lips if He is not first formed into our being by the renewing Spirit of God.

When all four Gospels reiterate that Christ will "baptize you in the Holy Spirit and fire," an essential aspect of Jesus' ministry is emphasized.
